The restaurant opened last week at their new location at 417 Prospect Ave., just around the corner from East 4th Street. The new Downtown Cleveland location of Red will be the fourth location of the restaurant, which has garnered rave reviews from Esquire, USA Today, Forbes and Food & Wine. Red also has restaurants in South Florida and Beachwood, Ohio.
The 11,000 square foot revamped former home of Volk’s is being transformed into a Vegas-style, sleek 34-foot black granite-faced bar, a glass wine room, 17-seat bar area with booths accommodating up to 50 guests. Another 80 plus guests can be seated in the main dining room. The second floor of the restaurant holds event facilities for up to 120 people, which can host a variety of meetings, private dining, and other private events. Next spring, a 2,000 square foot rooftop patio will open for guests, boasting unparalleled views of Downtown Cleveland.
The restaurant will be open for happy hour from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on weekdays and 3 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturdays. Dinner is served from 5 to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 5 p.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday nights.
